  • Be part of the Australian Circular Economy Hub (ACE Hub) and help support the transition to a circular economy in Australia!

  • Work for one of Australia's best known environmental not-for-profits, which has over 30 years of experience.

  • Enjoy a 9-day fortnight working with a passionate and enthusiastic team to drive change in business, government and the community.

Positive actions are at the core of every decision we make. We are defined by what we are for, not what we are against. Our goal is to build a better world – one where humans not only live in balance with nature but help it to thrive.

About Planet Ark:

Planet Ark is one of Australia’s best known environmental not-for-profits, with an enthusiastic and committed team. We work with business, government, community groups and individuals to create positive environmental actions for everyone.

About the role:

We are looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced Communications Specialist to join the Planet Ark team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will work with the communications team to plan and execute the ACE Hub’s communications activities.

The role involves managing the monthly communications schedule; liaising with case study subjects; booking interviews; writing and editing online output; content creation for social media; completing program sponsor deliverables and identifying relevant media opportunities.

This is a full-time 12-month contract position. The salary for this role is $65k per annum + super + benefits.  After a recent trial we now offer all full-time employees a 9-day working fortnight (67.5 hours). These hours are worked with alternate Fridays as a non-working day.

How we support our staff:

  • We offer flexible working arrangements, hybrid working and a 9-day fortnight.

  • Support for a home office, including phone and internet expenses up to $200 a month.

  • Access to a range of meaningful benefits to support mental wellbeing.

  • A high level of support to grow careers through learning and development.

  • An organisational culture that rewards and recognises innovation and values, not long hours.

Planet Ark is committed to building and fostering an inclusive, diverse workplace. We believe in incorporating everyone's perspectives and experiences as this has been a significant driver of our success so far. For this reason, we strongly encourage candidates of all backgrounds, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age to get in touch.
